Dear JCC Parents, Guardians, Students:
On Tuesday, January 19th JCC HS will be changing our learning model from hybrid to full in person learning. Listed below are some important updates that I would like to share with you.
Students will only have two education choices for learning starting on January 19th: 1) full in person- 5 days a week. 2) full distance. Please contact the HS office if you will be switching from in person learning to full distance learning or vice versa by Monday, January 18.
Attendance changes: If a student is gone for any reason that is not COVID related, they should not log into their Google Meet for the day. They may access their course work on Schoology only. Students that are absent due to COVID testing or quarantine will be able to log on to the Google Meet. All Full Distance Learners should log on to their class Google Meets everyday.
In Person Schedule:
Students will have class from 8:10 AM - 3 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We will have two lunch lines. Students will enter in either the single green kitchen door or the double green doors, collect their milk, tray and exit through the double green doors. A la carte items and seconds will be available in the line entering the double doors. We will have six students per table and there will be plexiglass on the middle of the tables. All Seniors should eat their lunch in the HS Media Center.
Our Wednesday schedule will be in person and will be the same as it has been for the last few weeks. Students will no longer have the option to be online unless they are a full distance student or are absent due to a COVID related illness. Students will have class from 8:10 AM -11:30 AM on Wednesday. We will have one lunch period for students on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until noon. A lunch count will be taken in the morning for a sack lunch. Students may choose to eat their lunch in the cafeteria or they may choose to leave at 11:30 AM.
Just a reminder to wear your masks and social distance. Masks should cover your nose and your mouth.

JCC HS Principal
Attendance for distance learners
I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Jackson County Central High School Principal. My goals for the year are as follows: 1) Getting to know the students, staff, and families of JCC. 2) Working with staff to align state standards with common formative assessments to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My door is always open to answer questions or discuss any concerns that you may have.
I am starting my 25th year in education. Over the years, I have served in many roles such as Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher, Activities Director, Volleyball Coach, Student Council Advisor, and Principal.
My husband Steve and I recently moved to Jackson in June. We have two cats, Molli and Baxter, who keep us busy. We love to travel, golf, read, and entertain family/friends.
I look forward to collaborating with you to provide our students with the best possible educational experience.
