Media Center (HS) Specialist / Technology Assistant

This position performs a variety of duties involved in the operation and maintenance of the media center and in providing assistance to students and staff in using media equipment, technology, its resources, and materials. Process and upkeep circulation, supervise the library as well as assist with testing while maintaining a level of professionalism and confidentiality. Technology duties would include assisting the technology department with district supplies of toner and bulbs and other items as needed; developing a spreadsheet to track district technology at the beginning of the school year and updating the spreadsheet when onboarding or off boarding students; addressing iPad issues as needed, reconfiguring iPads annually in the summer (this is a year round position); Cataloguing Chromebooks serial numbers, preparing same for distribution, and addressing technical issues as needed, monitoring usage, as needed, with software; Uploading student pictures to student information system (Infinite Campus), assisting with setting up and maintaining students and changes in student accounts; Sending invoices for fees; Collecting devices and chargers at the end of the year, setting up and distributing at the beginning of the year; Entering student data for programs such as but not limited to PBIS, Seesaw and RAZ. Corrects IXL passwords; Assisting with employee emails, key fobs and the like; and other duties as assigned which could include District Assessment Coordinator duties. License is preferred but not required.

Payroll Clerk

This position is responsible for all aspects of payroll. Enters and codes leave for all employees.  Initiates, calculates, verifies, and completes all payrolls in a timely fashion. Enters edits, adjustments and setup items in timeclock plus.  Exports data between systems. Maintains and updates all employee payroll information. Prepares withholding checks and verifies balances in general ledger accounts. Enters garnishments, levies and child support payments. Calculates, verifies, and completes all state, federal, employee, and other reports as required. Prepares quarterly and year end reports. Maintains information on all payroll programs such as insurance, flexible benefits, various voluntary withholdings, etc. Submits transfers for flexible account payments as well as health savings accounts.  Creates, adjusts and sends other payroll bills. Administers the Long Term Disability Program, including determining eligibility and computing payment. Manages benefits. Provides information and assistance for budgeting, negotiations, and pay equity.  Maintains payroll reports. Coordinates new teacher orientation for payroll information and questions. Prepares salary and benefit information for the budget. Assists with year-end audit procedures. Prepares and disseminates teacher notice of assignments, non-certified work assignments and employee extra duty data. Completes wire transfers as needed. Codes revenues for the district, reclassifies/adjusts when necessary. Manages SMART FIN system in cooperation with Business Manager including but not limited to receipting/coding of revenues, building codes. Balance monthly receipts including interest statements from all accounts. Creates, proofs and disburses W-2 reports.  Maintains records for 1099 reporting.  Initiates forms.  Generates correspondence for tax information. Tracks and reports Affordable Care Act information. Calculates and distributes COBRA information to employees leaving or retiring as well as other paperwork for retirees. Creates and pays schedule B employees on schedule as indicated in the master agreement. Prints manual and board checks.  Prepares the same for mailing. Assists the main office as needed. Other duties as assigned.

This is a year long position starting in September 2025. Pay is negotiable around $19/hour with benefits.
