Mrs. Sands Kindergarten

    The children are as busy as can be!  We spend our days working on reading and math as well as social studies and science.  We really like the times we go to Phy. Ed, Library, and Music! 

    The children have been making take-home books weekly and enjoy reading them to each other.  I hope you take time to listen to your child as they begin to learn their reading skills.

    We know our color words and are just now starting on the number words.  The children have weekly homework assignments that go along with the letter of the week.  The children enjoy sharing these projects with the class.  Be sure to practice the words on the word ring each day.

    As the year progresses, make sure your children are dressed warmly as we go out for recess everyday.  Please feel free to join your child at least once this year for lunch.  We already have had several parents join us.  This really makes the children's day.

    There are always lots of things going on, please check your child's backpack daily to find any new notes!
