All About Mrs.Kroger

I grew up in Redwood Falls, MN, and attended Southwest State University, where I graduated in 1983 with a degree in Elementary Education.  I began my teaching career in Sioux Valley, MN.  I taught third grade at SV-RL-B for 17 years before Sioux Valley consolidated with JCC.  My first year at JCC was spent with third graders.  I then moved downstairs at Riverside to begin teaching 1st grade.

I LOVE FIRST GRADERS!!!

I have lots of teachers in my family.  My husband, Craig, is a high school science teacher in Worthington, MN and my daughter, Leah is a Spanish teacher in New Prague, MN.  Her husband, Jason, is a third grade teacher in New Prague too!!  We also have a son named Luke who is a biotechnician at Newport Labs in Worthington, MN.  Luke is married to Hannah, and she is working on her RN degree.

When I'm not at school, I like to garden and read.  I also enjoy cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and doing other crafty things.  My husband and I take trips to visit our children and to see exciting things in Minnesota and elsewhere in the United States!  Last summer we went to Las Vegas to see Celine Dion and we also took a trip to the Grand Canyon.  Before school started we went to the Minnesota State Fair.  In October we went to the Black Hills in South Dakota.
