Reading   

"Reading to children is the most important activity
for creating motivation and background knowledge necessary to read."

With each story there is a  paper story that  will come home each week.  We will practice it at school and hope you will practice it at home.  This practice is very important to the reading success of  your children.  It is so FUN to watch your children blossom and become readers.  They get so excited when they finally make the connection from letters to sounds to words.  What a great accomplishment to have that "light" turn on and become an independent reader.  If we work together I know this can happen.
