BULLYING
"Although bullies have been around from the days of the one room school
house, experts say they are more vicious today and the consequences deadly. A
major cause of school shootings and teen suicide that schools are failing to
recognize or stop. 16-year-old girl was teased from the time she was in
the fifth grade, but her true nightmare began in middle school. Typically the
peak years for bullying." ...Connie

You, as parents, must keep in mind that it is your responsibility to educate and protect your children in every way. To rely on teachers and schools alone to give the life lessons that are so important would be a HUGE mistake!
The Number 1 Sign a Bully Looks For...
Lack of self-confidence and low-self-esteem. The bully will always look for what they believe to be the weakest target. They don't want to take a chance on someone fighting back. They are out to prove their superiority, not to look foolish.
Does your child walk with his/her head down? Does he/she appear timid? Do you KNOW that your child lacks self-confidence and self-esteem?
You Need to Step Up and Take Action!
You can help your children build their self-esteem and self-confidence easier than you think! It is simply a matter of doing little things consistently, day in and day out, that helps them to feel good about themselves.
Self-worth
Intimidation can affect you at any age. It can come from a fellow classmate, a friend, a boss, a teacher, or even a family member. There is no age when bullying and intimidation stop. When you feel intimidated, you automatically take an inferior position to the person doing the bullying. you feel unworthy.
For example
You may feel less powerful, less important, or even less worthwhile. Instead of fearing that someone might criticize you or make you feel unworthy, you need to internalize the reality that you are equal to that person and worthy of respect. you gain power when you are confident in your identity; you gain self-worth and can overcome any type of intimidation.
Good self-esteem and self-confidence will cause your child to walk with their head up and their shoulders back. The bully will look for someone else to target.
