Course #55 Fine
Arts I 1 credit/1st&2nd
semester Grad Stand:
Fine Arts I is an elective course for students in grades 9-12. Basic
drawing skills will be taught, drawing assignments will include perspective,
space and form. The techniques of painting with an air brush will be
explored as well as the traditional paint brush. Students will be expected
to provide wood for a canvas stretcher. The stretcher will be build in
class and the student will learn how to stretch a canvas. NEEDS CANVAS
STRETCHER - COST $3.25.

Course #56 Fine
Arts II 1 credit/1st&2nd
semester Grad Stand:
Students will continue to paint on canvas using both the air brush and the
traditional paint brush. Weekly drawings will be turned in for a
grade. Several drawing and design projects will be explored.
Students are expected to do original art work. NEEDS CANVAS STRETCHER -
COST $3.25

Course #57 Advanced
Art 1 credit/1st&2nd
semester Grad Stand: Literature
& Arts Creation & Performance
Advanced art is a class for students who have completed Fine Arts I and
II. Advanced art students will work independently on original art
work. Weekly drawings will be turned in for a grade. Students may
enter art competitions such as the Jr. Duck Stamp Contest. Projects may be
large and involved and span the semester or the student may choose to do several
smaller projects. Plans for projects will be discussed and approved by the
art teacher prior to starting the art project.

Course #58 Pottery
1 credit/1st&2nd
semester Grad
Stand: Literature & Arts Creation & Performance
Pottery is a class open to students in grades 10-12. Students will build
hand pots using both coil and slab methods. Students will also use the
potters wheel to throw pots. They will explore glazing and firing
techniques.

Course #61 Basic
Photography 1 credit/2nd
semester Grad Stand: none
This course involves the study of black and white photography. The
student, through various assignments, will become familiar with 35mm and 120
cameras. Also studied will be darkroom procedures consistent with printing
of negatives and studio work. The student will be working with lighting
systems in the classroom producing portraits, still lifes and other
assignments. Also required will be other photo assignments requiring the
study of lighting in remote situations.

Course #62 Video
Production 1 credit/1st&2nd
semester Grad Stand:
Upon the completion of this course, the student will be able to write a script,
create a storyboard, videotape the needed sequences, edit the video sequences,
add sound and special effects and evaluate the effectiveness of the message the
finished product presents.
