DISCOVERY PLACE PRESCHOOL 2008-2009

If you are a parent of a child age 3  to 5 and already participate in Early Childhood Family Education parent-child classes, you may also enroll your child in Discovery Place Preschool.  Classes meet weekly throughout the school year to provide extra enrichment opportunities in an age-appropriate curriculum.  Discovery Place is funded through a Learning Readiness grant.  Transportation can be arranged for a small weekly fee through Western Community Action   847-2632

4 & 5 YEAR OLDS - Registration for next year starts March 1, 2008
The M-W-F afternoon session are for children who are at least 4 years old by September 1st.  Children who are 5 but not attending Kindergarten are also welcome in this class.  As the children grow and learn in this class, more school readiness activities are offered.  Children are introduced to school routines and activities.  Field trips are an extra opportunity for children to learn about their world.
Tuition:  $100.00 per month which includes preschool and ECFE classes & snack.  You may qualify for a reduced fee if you already qualify on the free and reduced lunch program.
3 YEAR OLDS -Registration for next year starts March 1, 2008
The Mon-Wed morning session is designed for children who are 3 years old by September 1st.  This class introduces children to cooperative play, sitting for a story and following simple directions.  Art, science, math and reading activities, music, large muscle play and dramatic play are all available during preschool. Tuition:  $60.00 per month which includes preschool & ECFE classes and snack.  You may qualify for a reduced fee if you already qualify on the free and reduced lunch program.

Meet and greet your Teacher will be held on September 3, 2008
